Recurring gifts and pledges - any out of the box solution to link them?

Hi all,

We often have donors who have an open pledge in CRM, and then that donor will make a recurring gift via BBIS to that same designation. Is there any out of the box solution to link an existing recurring gift to a pledge, so we don't have to call a donor and get their credit card information linked to their scheduled pledge installments? That is not a great process for our side or the donor.

Not sure if this is possible since that would mean two applications on one payment, but not sure if there is some alternative solution that I am unaware of.
