Proposal Reports

I created a query with the criteria of status equals everything but Closed won, Closed Lost and Remove. When I put Output the data pulls over the correct people. Then I go to Export tab to pull it out there so it want duplicate it shows the ones that I don't need that I wanted remove. Can anyone help me on how to pull this report?

  • @Jessica Tyson Hi! You've posted in Organizational Best Practices. I can move this to the product forum you are using if you let me know where to move it to. Thanks!

@Jessica Tyson Welcome to the Community!

Proposals are tricky in that exporting them using the export function (which is typically best practice), in my opinion, is not helpful at all for the exact reason you mentioned. Really it is due to a lack of an export type for proposals specifically. But I digress..

That being said, for proposal reports I use the output tab in the query and export directly from the query. Depending on the fields you export (solicitors for example) you may still have a proposal listed twice but the output is better in that you are not exporting proposals for all time for each constituent. I hope some of this makes sense, but feel free to reach out if you still have questions.

@Jessica Tyson To put a finer point on what @Dan Snyder mentioned regarding the exporting of Proposals - the only field that you can use as a filter in export is the Purpose field. Since you need to filter based on Status, Dan's suggestion is probably the best route to go.

  • @Dan Snyder thank you! I was really hoping I was just doing something wrong.
