How do I know if a form should be created in Core or in Academics?

What are the key differences in entering forms in Core versus Academics? How do I know which option to use?

  • @Jennifer Miller - there is no difference (except that Medical is only in Academics)- we had to come up with a consistent process for which module the forms were created in. Core we only created forms that have to do with the database, like profile forms. Academics we have our field study forms and any form having to do with academics. We do a lot of forms - we have 5 form designers so we had to come up with a way to make easier to find form(s) year after year.

  • @Jennifer Miller The other thing to consider is who needs to see the form responses. Teachers can view form responses from the “Run Roster/Student Reports” dropdown for forms built in Academics.

  • @Jennifer Miller and also who you need to be able to access the actual form to update any settings, export the form results, etc… It will dependant on which roles the employee has. We do most of ours in Academic.
