We are in a place to start the process of getting Power BI up and running. I'm looking for Canadian companies that can help with the integration into Raiser's Edge. It needs to be a Canadian company and a company that has done this before, we don't want to be the learning project. I'm looking to have a company do all the RE-Power BI integration and then set up some dashboards. And then show me what they did and I'm taking classes to be able to keep it going and make small changes.

    If you are going to hire a company to do the work, I would suggest you get pricing for both:

    • setting up power bi connector and gateway to connect to your RE NXT data
    • setting up a data warehouse

    There are a few company out there that already does data warehouse, so if they see your post, hopefully they will present themselves to you, buying off the shelf product/service may be more expansive, but will remove a lot of back and forth.

    The reason why I recommend data warehouse (will be more expansive) is that you will have better access to data that allows you to do even more complex/comprehensive reporting. If you are only planning to make a few reports in power bi, then the power bi connector option is ok, but once you start getting into wanting more comprehensive reporting and dozens of report/dashboard, then data warehouse will shrine through MUCH more, so plan for the future so to speak.
