National Student Clearinghouse - Enrollment Reporting

Hi all! The Core team is actively working on improvements to the way you can report enrollment data for NSLDS and National Student Clearinghouse. We found some interesting patterns and have questions for you:

We’ve discovered that there are some All School users (without any candidate, student, alumni, past candidate, past student, etc. role) that have Degrees attached to the record. Because they do not have any kind of student role, the Degree can’t be accessed from Academics – unless the user is found in Core, you click on their name, and then select the Academic profile from the Hub view. For these All School records, would you expect to see their Degree in the Student Degrees list? (They do not appear in the Students list, FYI.)

Similarly, we also found that there are All School records which have candidate checklists associated with them. However, those users do not have a candidate, student, past candidate, past student, or alumni role on them. Would you expect to find those users’ candidate data in the Admissions list? (They do not appear in the Candidate nor the Students list, FYI. The Admissions list is not required for NSLDS/NSC reporting.)

If you had/have “phantom” records like these, would it bother you? How would you find them if they did not appear in the Education Lists?

Have you seen or experienced a workflow that causes this kind of separation of the role from the relevant data in Enrollment Management or Academics?

If you're unfamiliar with the Education Lists, I hope you'll join me in a webinar next month where I'll explain the new fields, integration mapping, and Education List columns which perform logical calculations to save you time! The registration link will be published in Core as soon as it is available!

Thank you in advance for contributing any feedback!
