Year to Date Comparison

I was wondering if anyone knows how I could go about creating a dashboard that shows FY19-FY24 to date? For example have all FYs but only show YTD numbers.

@Jesse Calagna - Unfortunately there is no dynamic way to create a dashboard that is YTD, to a specific date across years. I recommend creating a dashboard or using the overall report, where you manually change the dates for each year your interested in seeing, and then enter that data in an excel doc or report you are sharing with others.

I don't believe you can “directly” achieve this with RE NXT alone.

You can potentially use Insight Designer to create multiple insights (per year) for a “static” date range (one insight is from 1/1/2018 - 5/3/2018; another insight is from 1/1/2019 - 5/3/2019; etc). Then put all the insights into 1 dashboard to show. However, it will require manual change to each year's insight date range, so not exactly “year to date” all the time.

Not sure if there are other more “defaultly" exist in RE NXT option, but you can definitely do this using custom BI reporting tool such as Power BI or similiar tool that intakes data from RE NXT.

@Jesse Calagna As the others stated there is not dashboard that will give you that either in Database View or RE NXT, but you can run a report in Database View (Comparison and Summaries) that will give you the results you are looking for.

  • @Alex Wong @Joe Moretti - That is exactly what I did. Thanks. I thought I could do that and then have a date filter but it didn't work that way either. I guess export to excel is only good way.

    Thanks all!
