New Grading Tab does not respect reviewed (locked) grades

I turned on the new grading tab now that teachers have left for the year to test some things out. It does not respect reviewed/locked grades. This is an important part of our grade review process. Teachers mark grades ready, we review them, which locks them down. Teachers cannot change a reviewed grade unless they come through the grading manager. This is important for obvious reasons (we may have already run calculations, we may have already run honors, we don't want teachers changing grades or comments after they have been reviewed, etc.) . When do we expect to see the new grading tab respect locked grades, Michael Morrisette? @Michael Morrissette

    Hi @Nancy Kierstead -

We have this queued up to be addressed during our next body of work. There's an issue that is preventing the UX from displaying the disabled fields, which is causing the issue you described. If you haven't already submitted a case to Support, that would be the ideal first step. They'll link your case to the defect we have on file and will update you via the case once the fix has gone live.

Thanks for the quick response! I'll get a case opened up ASAP.

Are there any updates on this? I was training a school this week on how to use the Review process and we noticed that teachers could edit reviewed comments.

    Hi @Pam Foster -

We deployed a fix for this over the summer. If you're experiencing issues, it may be a new problem. I would suggest reaching out to Support and starting a case with them. They can help troubleshoot and if it's determined to be a defect, they'll get the work item to the correct team to address.

I just took a peek at this. I opened up 23-24 Grade plan for Semester 2. I did not go in to the review screen and unlock any student grades. All grades remained locked. When I went to the New Grading tab and added previous terms, it did not allow me to edit those earlier terms from previous term grade plans (YAY). It did, however, allow me to change grades that were locked down for the term I opened up which also removed its “reviewed” status. This is not how the review process worked on the old Grading Tab. Locked grades stayed locked, even if the Grading tab was opened up for grading. Teachers could view locked grades, but they could not change them..Happy to explain further. I'm currently at bbcon.:-)
