Ad-hoc Query Filter

Is there a way to increase the limit for filter values as currently the tool does not allow more than 255 filter values?

  • @venkat ragela not that I'm aware of. Unfortunate I know!
I usually add another criteria of OR Constit id = ….. to include a second selection of ID's

  • @venkat ragela one way around this would be to import the list as a selection and then add a criterion to the query to say “exists in selection is equal to yes”

  • @venkat ragela We also import as selection and then say Exists in “xxx selection name” is equal to No (or maybe YES if appropriate.)

We also have selections we run in ad hoc query and in Edit definition task, under Set Save options tab we check Show this Selection in the Query Designer so we can use it to include or exclude ad hoc results in different queries. For example, set up ad hocs for excludes (trustees, current students, etc.) or includes (Young Alums from last 10 years). It is such a help!

  • @venkat ragela not that I'm aware of. We also use import selections and the or operator to get round this.
