CUSTOMIZE HOME SCREEN

Hello,

I just switched over to NXT and my home screen (the first main screen I see upon login) is primarily blank (see my screenshot below). I'd like to customize it to show only the features that I will be using on a daily basis. I cannot find any options or assistance on this, as I would think it would be one of the first things a new user would like to customize. Can anyone assist?

@Lizzette Cabrera, right now we're pretty limited on how we can customize that home page. We have several items in the works to give users more value and use out of that area to customize tasks and other information. I'd encourage you to navigate to our Idea Bank, search ‘home page’ and vote on the items already listed there so we can prioritize.
As a side note, we do have the ability to add custom tiles throughout FENXT through SKY Add-ins if you or someone at your organization can take advantage of that.

@Nikki Baldwin Thank you for replying back. I really appreciate it. What exactly is the SKY Add-ins? Is it only for developers / designers?

@Lizzette Cabrera, we have made utilizing our APIs very easy so that a developer isn't required but they certainly are quicker to take to the methods. You can check out our homepage and see if you'd like to dig in as there is a step-by-step guide to follow.

@Nikki Baldwin I will definitely take a look at it. Thank you for being so helpful. So far I only have one other question pertaining to customizing a report . I ran the Open Invoice report but need to remove a column that is not needed and move another column, but I don't see an option for that? Are we not able to customize reports in more detail other than the options that are on the far left side of the report's screen? Is the only option to Export to Excel and then manipulate it there, each time?

@Lizzette Cabrera, for the Open Invoice Report, it's more limited on what columns you can add/remove than say the financial statement type reports which are almost entirely customizable on the columns. I wonder if a query wouldn't be a better option for you depending on the columns you're interested in removing/adding…?

So the report has the Vendor Name, Invoice #, date, post date, balance, potential discount, discount expiration, net amount due, due date, and days past due. What column would you not want to see and what information would you like to add?

@Nikki Baldwin I would like to eliminate Post Date, Potential Discount & Discount Expiration. Then move Due Date column. I have not explored Queries, but I can try that as well.

@Lizzette Cabrera makes sense what you're looking for. Unfortunately like I mentioned before, we can't edit those columns as they are on that report. You should be able to get all that information in the order you'd want in a query, however.

With an Invoice query, you could get a more customized view of this information but you will have some limitations here as well because there is not a field for 'days past due'. So on the criteria tab (in database view as webview's version of Query does not yet have all the required fields available to pull), you'd select the status(es) and date range you'd like to see to limit what invoices are showing. Then on the output, you could add your Vendor name, Invoice #, date, amount, remaining balance (under Invoice Summary if there's a partial payment to equate to 'net due') and date due. Like I said, no field for 'days past due' but once you export it you could easily add that last column if you'd like and use the arrows to move the output to whatever column order you'd like to have.
