How can I compare features in roles in Database view to roles in Web base view

If I wish to compare roles and permissions in web based view and Database view , how can I view the content between the two? (i.e. Topic, view,edit,delete)

From my experience, there isn't a very clear correlation between the two as web view has a tendency to ignore rules and permissions on the regular. There isn't a direct relation at all currently between the “roles” as they don't match up. “Roles” in web view contain many that wouldn't be available in database view and don't have great descriptions. I would set up what you want in the database side and assign everyone there.

Security permissions is definitely the biggest headache with NXT. I'm sure there are others who can give you many “work arounds” for how to do this, though.

@Colin Webb I'm not sure there is a way to do this, largely because webview roles apply only to webview.

Database view security generally applies to both views. So if someone can view and edit gifts in database view, they will be able to view and edit gifts in webview.

@Colin Webb Database view really controls what rights users have to view, add, edit and delete (among other things) and those rights carry over to webview. As others have said, the webview rights are specific to webview and don't revert to database view.
