Looking for Resources

Hi, my team is looking for resources about Raisers Edge. Specifically were looking to understand where parent donor info is entered and how to export it as a report, does anybody know if there are any public resources/recordings of demos that go over this?

If you have never used RE before, this is going to be tough, and since you are a tech company employed by org that uses RE, I don't think you can utilize BB University.

RE is not a “small” software package and is extremely flexible to fit many different organization that uses it, meaning each of your client is likely using RE slightly differently that you will need to align yourselves to they way they organize data into different record type and field.

In the highest level, there are:

• Constituent record: first name, last name, type of record (org or individual), etc
• Constituent codes, constituent custom fields, constituent note, constituent action, constituent opportunity, address, email, phone, relationship, are all 1-to-many relationship that it has with constituent record (i.e. one constituent can have more than one constituent codes)
• Gift record: gift type, gift subtype, gift amount
• gift solicitor, gift soft credit, gift split (campaign/fund/appeal/package/amount), gift custom field are all 1-to-many relationship that it has with gift record

I don't really know where there may be resource for yout o understand data of RE. I think you should spend some time with the database manager in each of the entity you are developing for to know how they record data in RE
