Recurring donations

Has anyone encountered recurring donations posting twice on a gift report the month they are created? If so, how did you resolve the issue so it only counts the initial donation received for that month?

@Karen Bruce When you say posting twice, do you have the recurring gift and the first recurring gift payment? I'm thinking you have both gift types pulling in.

We exclude recurring gift record from posting and/or do not select when running gift report.

@Karen Bruce You'll have to exclude the “Recurring Gift” type from the report. There should be both the Recurring Gift and Gift-Pay on that report for each one, unless the donor scheduled the first gift for a different month. That took some time to sort out as to how they came in multiple times…

@JoAnn Strommen, yes the issue is that the donor makes the 1st donation and sets up a recurring gift. The initial month both the payment and the scheduled recurring gift show up.
