Transferring Assigned Solicitors

Hi! Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer a constituents assigned solicitor to a new solicitor? Rather than manually or doing a global update, looking to see if there is something more streamline.

@Alex Bloomer What's more streamlined than a global update? Regardless of what method you use, you would have to create a query of the records you would want to change, and at that point, you might as well do the global change. I'm sure you could perhaps do an import, but I would imagine it would take a lot more time than the global change.

  • @Dariel Dixon Haha thank you, I guess you're right. I was looing to see if there was some magic button, but it seems like a global update is the way to go.

@Alex Bloomer Welcome to the BB Community forums.

Take care and test a couple records first when making changes to solicitor/fundraiser assignments. They are one of the strange one-to-many beasts in RE. (Mistake early on put same end date for all assignements)

I would check out articles in knowledgebase like this one that talks about what can not be done:

I agree Global Update is the best option. To best streamline I'd recommend having your steps saved (export, .csv, import) and having a good process written out.
