Process of Adding an application and connecting to RE NXT

I am looking for a walkthrough or how-to guide of the process of connecting an app and authorizing it to work with RE NXT. I have reviewed the Blackbaud SKY API Getting Started Documentation and the Create an App documentation from Blackbaud, but am wondering if there is any other information on this process.
The process has generated multiple authorization errors that are being worked through one by one and are being reviewed in the Authorization documentation but I am wondering if there are any user guides with additional information as the official help docs provide a more general level of assistance and not technical assistance.
