HOW TO: Add a grant request if you aren't affiliated with the grantee

In the legacy portal, we have a “quick” form our employees use to record contributions they made on the fly. If they attend an event and decide to give a spontaneous contribution (usually by credit card), they use the form to report the contribution. When we pull it into BBGM, we attach the gift to the grantee organization as an approved grant request. One employee may complete five of these grantees a year to five different organizations. How do you suggest we do this in the new portal?

They can't register as contacts for the organizations.

    A colleague said there is a setting for each form/application to opt out of using the YourCause portal. Where can I find that setting? That would solve my issue with this “quick form”.

    The “opt out” feature is not opting out of the new forms and login requirements, this is a setting to allow applicants to add organizations that are not currently vetted in the NPO database.

    This allows applicants to select an organization that may not appears in the master list of eligible organizations.
