New applicant portal - fields that organizations complete on form don't update record data in database

In testing our forms, we are having issues with data coming through on both standard and custom fields to existing organizations in our system (which is 95% of our grantees). For example, we ask for a new annual budget number every year, and this number isn't updating when we consider a request. I can't go live with this! Has anyone experienced, or have any advice? Am I missing something? Have worked extensively with a consultant, and imported all form fields from our IGAM apps.

Please create a case with support with details on specific fields, if this has been reported by other funders the support team will be able to link your concerns to any exisitng work.

  • @Jason Kelliher Thanks Jason. Is there a list of known issues/product defects that could be made available to clients so we're not all beta testing and finding these fundamental functionality issues on our own? I now know others have encountered this, and it would have been helpful to know beforehand (and saved a lot of time and energy!) Maybe this list already exists somewhere?

  • As a follow up, we have been beta testing our new forms with a few grantees and have been pleased to discover this issue seems to have been addressed. I find it very strange the lack of communication from Blackbaud, but I'm glad it's working on the few forms we've tested.

To be clear, previously the data the new forms were capturing from existing organizations was not overwriting existing data in our database, rendering them essentially useless for us. In the 4 or so live applications I've collected now from existing grantees, these fields now appear to be collecting and saving new data, which is great and as one would expect from an application.

I have not heard back from customer success or support on my many emails around this but thought I would share here anyhow.
