Journal Entry Batch Tabbing Not Working

Has anyone else noticed that all of the sudden when tabbing through the fields of Journal Entry Batch lines that the cursor exits the lines and skips to Attachments rather than continuing through the lines to allow data entry? I've noticed it in Chrome and Firefox this week. It seems if I move some of the fields around that it will progress to different fields but it always seems to skip to Attachments at some point.

I just tried entering a JE and tabbing through everything ( Haven't done that much since DB view days) but at the moment using chrome, it didn't jump to attachments for me. It did progress through each subsequent field. May be specific to your DB / Browser? Would likely bring it up with support.

  • @Kevin Brazell It seems to work fine with the defaul arrangement of fields, but if I move the Project field or Post Date field next to Account it no longer tabs correctly. Its helpful for our data entry to have the Project field after the Account field as this is how our other systems (e.g. payroll, church management) report the account and project information. I did open a case.

  • @Dan HoutReilly This just started happening to me! I tried Chrome and Firefox and both do this. I have my entry setup the way I need to enter everything and I do not want to rearrange it. It's been very frustrating with my longer entries and on top of that my data still disappears so I have to retype things multiple times.

  • @Paula Krohn Sorry this is happening to you, but its nice to know its not just me. I did open a case so hopefully they are working on it. Multiple cases tend to help though, if you have time to open one yourself.

  • @Dan HoutReilly First noticed this yesterday. i will also open a case. Excellent timing right before year end!

Tabbing has never worked in Safari. I reported it as a bug, and was told to use the Safari Advanced Setting “Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage”. It kindof works, but breaks all other websites, so is a non-starter. I should probably try again with a tech support request.

  • @Dan HoutReilly The rep on my case indicated that his testing suggested that there currently wasn't a problem. Its not clear from his communications whether a correction has been implemented however tabbing seems to be working for me as expected this morning.
