Buffering during Daily Sales

Has anyone experienced a lot of buffering when running daily sales that last month? It started at the tail end of our winter event, and it seems to be continuing thru now. There are 3 main points it buffers when completing a sale: when you hit credit, after the patron taps their card, and when you hit complete to enter in a zip code.

I was originally thinking, because of these spots, it was a POS issue, but we have also experienced buffering when doing cash sales (though not as frequent). Sometimes the buffering seems “normal” and the transaction is done in a few seconds, but we have had instances when it takes minutes (as long as 5 minutes). As you can imagine this is making the admissions process cumbersome and not ideal.

Today we've also had the system time out after a customer has tapped (but before hitting complete) and had to refresh the Chrome browser which thankfully still has the sale and it's just a matter of hitting complete. We use Chrome because that's the one that speaks to our receipt printers.
