Updating Fund in RENXT Batch

I have a user that created a large batch from an event. The wrong GL# was used and I was looking for an easy way to update the fund without having to do so in each gift record. Any suggestions?

@Sandra Kemenczy I don't believe you have the option for global change in NXT batches at this point. If I'm incorrect, I'm sure someone will post how to .

You said wrong GL# entered - In RE you only see fund ID/Fund description. Are you looking at FE? The fund is linked to GL#/project in FE.

If I were in your situation in RE I would go ahead and approve the batch and then work with the batch in db view. Create a gift query for the batch if you don't have one. Go to Admin > Globally Change Records (user rights required) > Gift > New Change. First thing “Include," select the query so you are only changing those records. Under Gift, find the Fund ID, chose replace, enter the wrong ID and the correct one to replace. Check Overwrite box.
Check the box at bottom right to create queries should something not go as expected.

JoAnn is correct, currently global change on RE NXT webview gift batch is not possible. That is upcoming though.

I am also not sure why “GL#” is mentioned here. if the GL# in the fund is incorrect, you do not need to change the fund on the gift. You need to go into DBVIEW (since you can't do this in webview yet) and open the fund record and update the GL# (Genegal Ledger debit/credit account #). Until gifts are posted from RE to FE, wrong GL# is not going to be a problem yet.

@Sandra Kemenczy Do your fund names literally equal your GL#??
