Issue with Custom Field True/False field type converts into a Picklist type on Custom Form?

I'm trying to add a checkbox to my custom form.

Here's what I've done so far:

In Control Panel >> Blueprint >> Custom Fields, I created a new field and selected the True/False field type, assuming it would be a boolean type. (Field name: RSTDeclarationIAgree_Flag)

In Applications >> Custom Forms, I tried to add this new field to a form, but it automatically converts into a Picklist type.

When I add it to the form, the field appears as a dropdown select box, rather than a checkbox.

Is this a bug or is there a way to put a checkbox (tickbox) on the custom form?

@Harrison Fan unfortunately picklists no longer display as picklists. We took the decision to transition to values fields where needed as True and False was not helpful language

Thanks for the input - Just to clarify, are you saying that true/false (boolean) fields no longer display as checkboxes?
I suspected that might be the case.
It's a bit odd, though, since they still appear as checkboxes in the Blueprint > Forms library, but not in Applications > Custom Forms.
