Retrieving deleted Constituent Record from Database

Hello,

This is kinda urgent! accidentally deleted a constituent record on the database view side.

Reached out to Blackbaud about recent backups since Raiser's Edge is hosted online. They are unable to provide me with a copy of the recent backup. Has anyone faced this issue before?

What are the other solutions that we can use in such scenarios if the record is difficult to build up.

Thanks

Payal

Reach back out to them, you are hosted so they should be able to pull a backup and stand that up in a temporary database. This happened to us last year.

Thank you for your response. Quick question, did you guys pay for the temporary database?

  • @Payal Sen yes, but it was a minimal fee!

You don't need to pay for a backup of your RE (once a month request). However, you (your org IT) will need to restore the RE database on your own machines.

I did not know BB can load it for you and give you access (temporarily), I just know if you pay for a test database instance, you can request for a backup to be loaded on the test environment. So you will want to make sure you ask for all the option from the support, and get your account manager involve.
