A plethora of updates to enable you to do more with Microsoft Power Platform, including a new community showcase, a new feature enabling hosting of apps built with Microsoft Power Apps, and improvements to the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Connector.

New community Power Platform showcase

We created a new Blackbaud Community Power Platform Showcase. This enables members of our Blackbaud Community to share their Microsoft Power Platform Power Apps and Power Automate flows with each other. These samples are intended to help you jump start your work in building custom apps and flows for your organization.

If you have built an app with Power Apps or a Power Automate flow that you think would help your peers get started with Microsoft Power Platform, learn how to submit your sample to be included in our showcase.

New feature available for hosting apps built with Microsoft's Power Apps

Customers creating low-code apps with Microsoft's Power Apps can embed their app in supported Blackbaud solutions as a SKY Add-in using the Power Apps Host SPA (single page application) provided by Blackbaud. This makes it possible to create a custom app using the functionality of Power Apps and then have your app display directly in your Blackbaud solution.

Raiser's Edge NXT Connector updates

We made the following improvements to the Raiser's Edge NXT Connector for Microsoft Power Platform.

  • For clarity, we renamed the "List constituent fundraiser assignments" action to "List constituent fundraisers." This a name change only, no functionality was changed.
  • DeleteConstituentCode connector action was added. This helps you change existing constituent codes via a delete and re-add process.
  • GetConstituentFirstGift, GetConstituentGreatestGift, GetConstituentLatestGift, and GetConstituentLifetimeGiving connector actions were added. This enables you to get the first/greatest/latest gifts and lifetime giving summary for a constituent.
  • GetConstituentProspectStatus connector action was added. This enables you to get the current prospect status for a constituent. This action returns an error response for constituents who aren't prospects or are prospects but have no current prospect status. You can account for this in flows with the Configure run after feature as described in the error handling documentation.
  • ListParticipantDonations and CreateParticipantDonation connector actions were added. This provides you with more functionality for managing participant donations.
  • CreateFundraiserAssignment and ListFundraiserAssignments connector actions were added. This provides you with more functionality for managing constituent/fundraiser assignments.
  • AddGiftToBatch, ListGiftBatches, and CreateGiftBatch connector actions were added. This helps you create and manage gift batches.
  • CreateListFromIDs and AppendIDsToList connector actions were added. This enables you to create a list in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT based on a set of IDs. It also supports adding additional IDs to an existing list.
