Reminders to all parents of Students with incomplete Student Checklists?

Is there a way to email all parents of students who have incomplete Student Checklists? The existing reminders are tied to individual steps.

We're using checklist to track school forms, each step tied to a different form. We've used the form reminders in the past, but when parents missing several forms (sometimes for more than 1 child) get emails for each form, it tends to overload - they just get annoyed and maybe fill out one form if they even log in. I was hoping checklists would have a catch-all message tied to checklist completion status, but no luck.

Am I missing something, or are there any workaround people have found? I looked for a way to create a list or distribution group based on these parents to use for communication through the system, but no luck. My next-best option now is to export a list from including parent emails from Manage Checklists (filtering for Awaiting steps) and use that for an email outside the system.
