Export to PDF

Update in the past day or so has the pdf opening when you select "export to pdf". I don't necessarily want the pdf to open, and it's disruptive. Any way to de-select that option?

Are you exporting to PDF in database view or in webview?

  • Agreed! Many times I just need to see the report, not export it. Especially if adjustments need to me made . . . I'll export when it is completed. What a waste of time and efficiency, creating extra steps. Plus we need to go delete them later.

  • If the PDF is always opening after downloading to your web browser (Chrome). These are the steps that disabling that function.

    In Google Chrome

    • Clear all auto-opening settings: This is the quickest way to reset the behavior for all file types.
      1. Click the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
      2. In the left-hand menu, click Downloads.
      3. Click the "Clear" button next to "Open certain file types automatically after downloading".
      4. OR
      5. Disable a specific file type: While there isn't a separate button for each file, clearing all settings will remove the auto-open option for all file types, forcing you to re-select them for those you still want to open automatically.
