Dual Enrollment - Georgia

Anyone in the state of Georgia who offers Dual Enrollment? We want to offer dual enrollment next semester. However, the courses will be held here on campus. They basically want them treated like our normal courses, but with the weight added like an AP course. This is fine, but how do we distinguish these courses as Dual Enrollment when it comes time to report to GSFC for HOPE? From the limited amount of posts I see, it seems they are just treated like a transfer course usually. Our admin wants them on our campus, with our staff (who has been properly approved by the college), in our schedule, included in our GPA. But if we put weight on anything other than an Honors or AP class, that weight won't be stripped properly by GSFC when calculating HOPE. Anyone?

  • We have done some Dual Enrollment on our campus. We create the course the same as any other dual enrollment course with appropriate weights, etc. We can place the students in the courses on their schedules, but teachers do not use Blackbaud for grades. We get those grades from the transcript from the college and I still have to enter it as a transfer course once the grades are provided. The benefit is having it on campus and on the student's schedule.
