Reports Not Generating Cause and Solution

For the past two days, our organization has had the problem where we would click "Generate" on a report and the report would never generate.

The blue box would pop up saying the report would generate, but it never would.

The reason is, there is an error in the date range.

If a column is set to start This Fiscal Year, Period 1 and End This Fiscal Year, Last Fiscal Period, the date range will be 1/1/2026 to 12/31/2025. This is an impossible date range and the report will not generate. This is only ever a problem in January and in the past if there was an error you would be notified.

The thing is, no error is generated when this problem occurs. Also, since they took away the queue showing which reports are running, there is no way to know if its the usual lags created by BB not providing enough resources to run reports in a timely manner or something else. In this case it was something else.

Solutions:

#1 BRING BACK THE REPORT QUEUE!!!!!@@#!#@! and the ability to cancel reports.

#2 If there is an error preventing a report from running, provide an error message stating why instead of a message saying the report is running.
