Cloud based versions of RE Database Plugins

My organsation has been using JMG Importer and we are looking for a new cloud based version. We are aware of the Omatic. Just wanna know are there any better versions than Omatic.

Importacular NXT by Zeidman Development went live this week which is great timing for your question. Importacular (in database view) has been a really popular and affordable importing tool for many years, and the new NXT version includes a free(!) tier that lets you import Constituent, Address, and Gift data. Everything beyond that — plus support and automation — is part of the paid subscription. The free option gives you a low‑risk way to see whether the workflow fits your needs.

I’ve been an Omatic client across several institutions, and now as a consultant I have clients using a mix of tools. Omatic is still a strong, well‑established option, especially for organizations with complex or high‑volume imports, but it’s absolutely reasonable to explore what else is out there as the ecosystem evolves.

Another tool worth looking at is SmartIMPORT by SmartTHING. I’ve heard consistently good things about their products, and they’ve built a solid reputation for flexibility and ease of use.

Which option is “better” really depends on the type, volume, complexity, and frequency of the data you’re importing — and, of course, what your budget can realistically support.

I agree with @Carlene Johnson — Importacular is a wonderful tool. We use it all the time. I have also heard great things about SmartTHING tools.

Our organisation have been using Importacular for some time through Raiser's Edge. We have just started to look at the NXT version and through our current subscription with Importacular it has become apparent that we have actually been downgraded on the NXT version with only a limited amount of data rows being allowed to be imported each month. It's clear that Zeidman Developments are holding existing clients to ransom by forcing them to upgrade. Just something to bear in mind when making your decision. We're currently reviewing but are now considering other products.

That is very unlike my previous conversations with them, and I would love to hear what their response is to that. I know any NXT plug-in has to work within the SKY API bounds, which can be limiting, so I hope that is not a permanent issue. Thankfully, the DB view still functions!
