Unable to Connect Blackbaud Environment to SKY API Application (OAuth Authorization Error)

Hello everyone,

We are currently integrating Blackbaud SKY API SSO into our .NET application using the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow with PKCE.

We created a public application named “Bullfrog” in the Blackbaud Developer Portal. However, under View Environments, it shows 0 environments, and we are unable to connect our Blackbaud environment.

When attempting OAuth authorization, we receive the following error:

“This application has not been connected to your Blackbaud environment.”

Additionally, in the Marketplace page, we see:

“You do not have user account access to a Blackbaud environment.”

Our current access level:

• Developer role in Developer Portal
• Listed as Application Contributor
• Full organization access

Despite this, we are unable to add or connect an environment to the application.

Could someone please clarify:

• What exact role is required to connect an environment?
• Does this require Marketplace Admin access?
• Is there an additional step needed to link the organization environment to the application?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If you have access to more than one environment, make sure you're connected to the right one when you try to connect the app in the marketplace. I've made that mistake before.

Actually, I want integrate this Blackbaud in my .Net application and for the login I use the SSO login but it’s not work.

Sure, sounds good. You said that when you try to authenticate, you get a message that says, “This application has not been connected to your Blackbaud environment.”

What steps did you take to connect the application to your Blackbaud environment?

@Kartik Patel The link that Ashley Moose shared above has the instructions.

There are two steps in the process:
1) Create the app (you've completed this).
2) Link the app to an environment (this has to be done by an organizational Marketplace administrator — you'll need to get the client you are working with to do this)
