Deleting online Gift that came in through NXT forms and entering manually

Sometimes, when a gift comes in through OLX, whether its a tribute form, or someone accidentally writes a comment when they click on the checkbox next to gift on behalf of an organization, the donor will incorrectly use the form boxes and so sometimes its easier to delete the OLX transaction and simply enter in the gift manually. Is this an option in NXT donation or event forms? or do we always just have to accept the gift and are limited in how we want the information to enter the database?

When incorrect tributes happened in OLX, I would use a tribute on a dummy record and delete the tribute later. When someone checked the "behalf of an organization" box by mistake, I also put it on a dummy record and changed the constituent in the gift batch. I think you can do both of those things in web view, but I haven't done gift processing there recently. I'm sure another community member will correct me if I am wrong.

When in doubt, I go with a dummy record and fix/move the gift rather than delete it. Some coding, like the donation form name, may not be possible to add manually. Also, deleting opens up the possibility for other errors.

I've always been able to add the donation form name manually, and any of the other attributes, but these are great ideas. Thank you.
