2nd Gift Conversion Rate

Can anyone give me the query formula for 2nd gift conversion rate? Donors who gave first gift in 2024 and then second gift in 2025. Many thanks!

If you are talking about RE NXT, then first define your report with a little more clarity.

are you looking for "2nd gift" or "2nd year giving? (i.e. if someone gave multiple gifts in 2024, are you omitting them? Since their 2nd gift is also in 2024.)

Thanks Alex, I'm looking at 2nd gift. This is what I came up with:

Query 1 – first gift date bn Jan 1-dec 31 2024

Query 2 – first gift as above, sum, number of gifts >or= to 2, gift type does not equal reoccurring

Divide 2nd number by first – Question, will query #2 exclude monthly gifts?

I’m getting 3988 / 16,175 = 24.7%

your query "may" be ok but it depends on how your org handles certain gift types

Recurring Gift = this is not a real gift, it is "template" to charge recurring gift per month
Recurring Gift Pay-cash = this is the real gift from the recurring template.

Meaning, if you are using Online Express, BBNC, RE NXT Donation form, or manually handling recurring gift, a donor who signed up for recurring monthly gift on 4/1/2024 will have 2 gift records in RE NXT, one for Recurirng Gift and one for Recurring Gift Pay-Cash, but donor actually only gave ONE gift. In your querying, this donor will show up as having a 2nd gift.
