Introducing the GrantsConnect API (Public Preview)

The GrantsConnect API is now available as a public preview for YourCause GrantsConnect. This API provides access to read and update data within GrantsConnect, enabling broader programmatic access to grantmaking data and workflows.

The functionality these new endpoints support are detailed below.

Applicants and applications

• Retrieve and search applicants and applications
• Download application submissions and related uploaded files
• Access application form definitions and translated response data
• Retrieve history of application status changes

Awards, payments, and in-kind tracking

• Search awards
• Create, edit, delete, and search payment records
• Retrieve in‑kind items tied to payments, applications, and awards

Budgets and funding sources

• Search budgets
• Retrieve budget funding source details
• Support downstream reporting and reconciliation workflows

Forms, metadata, and configuration

• Search form fields used in application workflows
• Retrieve and manage picklists and picklist options
• Access system tags and grant program activity

Users, roles, and workflows

• Search users, roles, and role assignments
• Retrieve workflow structures, levels, managers, and assignments
