Is anyone else frustrated with the new copy invoice pop-up?

I just started getting a pop-up message when I want to copy an invoice. Not only is it slowing me down and adding an extra click step, it does not give me the option to turn it off once I understand. I also used to be able to type in what I wanted to copy so then I could copy and paste the Invoice # when I just needed to change 1 character. I can't see how users would have complained about having to see what was copied and what wasn't. Now everyone has to do one more step for every copied invoice. #WorkHarderNotSmarter. Ugh!

  • Oh my goodness, yes! I already voiced my dislike for this to the chat yesterday (5/19/26). I'm entering on average 1,600 invoices every month. Granted not all of them are copied but a majority are and that is way too many extra clicks. I also realized they took away the search box where you could easily pull up a previous invoice and now you have to click the box to search for an invoice, then type and click again to select and then click the copy…that's 3 extra clicks!! It needs to be changed back or an option to turn it off like you said. The chat person told me that with the new users on FENXT may find it beneficial. I do not think so! So frustrated.

  • Completely agree! Please make it stop. I enter multiple invoices with the same info, and stopping to click over and over is ridiculous.

  • I understand that for new users it might be beneficial to know what is being copied, but EVERY INVOICE?!? This addition is too reparative and needs a option to disable as well as bringing back the search function. I'm really disappointed that they removed a useful feature and added one that disrupts work flow. Please voice your thoughts as much as possible until this is resolved!

  • So now I am wondering if the person that implemented this change went to Blackbaud's AP department and asked if this would be a positive enhancement or not. Or if it was done because of complaints about it? I would have preferred they added the carrying forward of a deposit payment amount from the first entry to the ledger line like it does in payables!

  • I cannot understand why the need to fix something that wasn't broke…….the copy invoice feature worked just fine as it was, now it has slowed down the processing of invoices. Do they test these changes with users before implementing them?

  • Agree 100%. Please allow us to turn off this message.

  • Still shaking my head over how much less productive this change has made me. Tsk-tsk Blackbaud.

  • 100% agree. I hope they undo this change and go back to how it was. It was a great feature before the change. It is not very helpful now.

  • Hi @Linda Hall - thank you for posting. I'm going to raise this up to my team to make them aware of what you are experiencing.

@Linda Hall, @Valerie Edgeller, @Kristen Harshbarger, @Tyler Brown, @Patricia McKenna, @Karen Reeves, @Debbie Walters apologies for the inconvenience but this was not an intentional update, it occurred in error from a related update, and has since been resolved. The fix was pushed out late yesterday if you haven't checked it out since then, please do. If for some reason you are still experiencing this, please contact support, but it should be resolved across environments at this time. Thank you!

  • I just tried in Edge and it is still the work harder version. Also, the ability to copy a previous entry in a deposit is gone. I will contact support tomorrow if it is still not working like before.

  • The ability to copy the invoice number is no longer available in Chrome or Edge. That was supposed to be fixed as well. This means typing in the same invoice numbers for each utility bill instead of simply copy and paste. Waste of my time and increased risk of wrong information. Requesting the old copy paste be returned.
