Solution Brainstorm

I work for a health system. I am being asked to get a monthly list of deceased patients from our patient database and see if they exist in our donor database. Wondering if anyone is aware of a solution for checking for these folks to avoid manual searches. I am new to power automate and power query. I have not yet dipped into Power BI. We also have Import Omatic and Omatic's List Management solution. Thank you for your brainstorming thoughts!

it depends on what data is available from your patient database and if any of that info is directly mapping to a constituent in donor database. (i.e. ID)

  • Thank you, Alex. I was looking to match on name/address/email but there is no ID that would carry over. I think, based on that, perhaps Omatic's matching abilities would be better than my current low-code attempts :)

you can do it in low code through power automate, however, it does requires more "steps" to locate the constituent.

Something like Import O matic does multi stepped matching logic, which if you do in low-code requires you takes these steps yourselves. So it might be easier for you to rely on IOM or Omatic Cloud (or simliar tool) in the future where database view goes away.
