Is it possible to link a Project Contacts to a Raiser's Edge constituent?

I'm guessing the answer is no. Alternatively, is there an approach that could be done using the API to make this a reality? The main concern here is, for example, a constituent has an endowment and receives a balance report periodically, based on the address information on the contact record on the FE project. If their address if updated in RE, we would like it to be updated in FE as well.
