As we wrapped up bbdevdays 2026, we took a moment on the mainstage to recognize two members of our community who embody what this event is all about—sharing knowledge, helping others, and building with intention.

Congratulations to Nicole Holt, Director of Annual Giving at Preble Street, recipient of this year’s Developer Impact Award, and Alex Wong, Sr. Director of Business Information Systems at FIDF, recipient of the Developer Community Award.

Recognizing Real Impact

The Developer Impact Award celebrates someone who gives back through code—creating something practical and sharing it so others can learn from it and put it to work immediately. This year’s winner, Nicole Holt, exemplifies exactly that.

As last year’s winner, Rochelle Toomer, shared:

“Nicole's flow, Attach Files from SharePoint to RENXT Gift Records, stands out because it's organization-agnostic and reduces the friction of backup management in all the right ways. We love to talk about ‘best practice,’ but this flow pushes beyond practice; it's got game.”

Nicole’s work highlights the power of building solutions that not only work, but scale across organizations and make everyday processes easier and more reliable.

Building Community Through Generosity

The Developer Community Award recognizes someone who shows up consistently for others—sharing knowledge, answering questions, and investing in the growth of the community.

This year’s winner, Alex Wong, is a familiar name to many in the Blackbaud developer ecosystem. As last year’s winner, Carol Grant, put it:

“If you’ve spent any time in the Raiser’s Edge community, you’ve likely come across Alex. He consistently jumps into conversations with fast, helpful answers and a genuine willingness to help others succeed.”

Alex’s impact isn’t just in what he builds—it’s in how he helps others build.

What This Represents

These awards are more than recognition—they reflect the values that make the bbdevdays community so strong. People show up not just to learn, but to help. They share what they’ve built, what they’ve learned, and what didn’t work along the way.

Nicole and Alex represent that spirit. Their contributions—through both code and community—make it easier for others to move faster, learn more, and create real impact.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to see how they continue to contribute, and who will follow in their footsteps next year.

Congratulations again to Nicole Holt and Alex Wong and thank you for everything you bring to this community.
