Constituent lists and relationships

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build a corporate e-news audience in RE NXT that includes both qualifying business organisations and their associated relationship. For example, I'd like to include both ABC Ltd (the organisation constituent) and John Smith (ABC Ltd's employee/contact relationship and constituent record) in the same audience.

I can easily identify the qualifying businesses using gift criteria, but I'm struggling to dynamically include both the organisations and their related contacts in a single list or query.

How are others managing this? Do you maintain separate organisation and relationship audiences, or have you moved to using a custom attribute/tag (e.g. "Business Newsletter Recipient") applied to both organisations and individual contacts? If so, how do you maintain that audience over time?

Thanks!

Interesting questions, you can probably get 1 list/query, but it won't be "easy" 1-2-3.

    1. constituent query filter on giving info that indicate the qualifying business
      1. output individual System Record ID
      2. add a OR condition for constituent system record id being the outputted ID from (a)

This is unfortunately a more manual process as Alex described.

I have also used a constituent export, usually when I was exporting a mailing list anyway, to export the contact IDs for the businesses and paste them in a query using a "one of" criteria operator.

I haven't done this for a while and hope someone else has a better solution!
