Parent Communication via text message

Hello,


In our old system we had something called "Parent Alert"  which a message was sent and parents received it via text message.    How do you all communicate important instant messages to your school parents?

    We use a product called Parent Alert for emergencies and a few other things.  We try to keep it to emergencies so parents don't tune it out. For other important communication we do that through Push Pages.

    We're using Nixle to send text alerts to parents.

    Bringing this thread back-

    Has anyone found solutions for text alerts for parents within Blackbaud (or have those solutions been developed in Blackbaud itself)? Our previous SIS was able to quickly mass text parents, filtering by grades, to send quick alerts. We can do something like this with News/Announcement groups, but it's not ideal and requires the parent log in to see messages.

    I am also wondering if Blackbaud will ever have a solution for text alerts for parents. We are currently using Bright Arrow but it would be nice to have it all within Blackbaud.
