Do parents need a new BBID when they change their email?

Parent's often ask us to change their email in the school's SIS. When this happens do I need to re-invite them to use BBID or can they still use their old email to login into the schools SIS?

    Hi @Reshma Berryman - if you change the email on the contact card it will NOT change the user's BBID email address. They would need to continue logging in with the “old” email address.

    If the parent would like to use the new email address for BBID you would need to re-invite the user to Blackbaud ID.

    When I learn of a parent's email change, I usually send out an email to them to suggest that they change their BBID to match the new email address.

    Is it in future plans to have a pop up of some sort after someone edits their email to say “do you also want to update your BBID” ? - we cannot keep track of the # of parents changing emails, and this would be very helpful.
