NXT new online form constituent code

How do we assign the constituent code on the new NXT online form? Right now we use online express so it checks for duplicates on the portal? I do not want new constituent code added for existing parents? any advice?

@Mitchell We You can set a Constituent Code for all donation forms under Tools > Settings > Form settings > Constituent code mapping. This gets applied to all donors who give via the forms so if there are some donors who should not get the code, I think you'll need to manage that manually or via a separate workflow.

  • @Lacey Kruger My issue is that I want RE NXT online new form to catch all the parents who are already in the system as parents. THis is happening on online express form. but I saw in knowledgebase that I will need to assign the new constituent code for this new form.

My worry is that I do not want new constituent to be added.

@Mitchell We Are you using Online data review? This is an option that allows you to review new constituents who come in from Online Giving forms and link them to existing constituent records. Unfortunately you'd still need to manage constituent codes separately, but this option should prevent new constituent records from being created for parents who are already in your system. Here's the Help topic for Online data review. Hope this helps.

  • @Lacey Kruger Okay. I will check this out. Thank you!

Working on a constituent form for constituents to select contact preferences/consent and/or update addresses. I have setting to reveiw all data. Am I going to be able to not have duplicate constituent code auto flow to records?

I'm not sure why it's required. I'm considering adding a constit code of something like "data update/consent." Then I could easily delete if it auto flows in.

How is this working for others who have implemented it?

I see it also says once form is live, it can't change back to test. Can we delete the form completely from RE after removing from website if it doesn't work as we want?

Love the idea of the form. Facing a publication deadline and hesitant to include if it will cause a lot of additional manual work.
