Declined Applications

Hi! We are testing the new applications portal. We sent a link; we completed the application and submitted it. We reviewed it and declined it, sent an email that we declined via system. When does the applicant see that the application was declined in their account? It is still showing as “In Progress”.

  • @Terry Malavenda wondering if you have heard anything about this? I submitted a ticket about it and was told it does not work that way but was in the idea bank, so I voted on it.

  • @Tonya Conaway During last week's Q&A session with Blackbaud, they mentioned new functionality will be added in Q2 that allows us to publish the status to the portal so that applicants will be able to see it listed as approved or declined.

  • Hello, I was curious if there were any updates since then? I had an applicant request that I update the status so only just realized that it doesn't show for them in the portal.

  • Hi @Faith Lee - you can publish the status to the portal using the Publish Status button on the Request record.

  • Hi @Amy Gomez and all - I'm trying to publish our declines in bulk since there are so many, but it keeps giving me an error message. Does anyone know if they have fixed the ability to publish in bulk? Thanks!

  • Hi @Angela Ballantyne - I have also received error messages when trying to Publish Status in bulk. The easiest thing we found is to select all records you wish to update > Open > Publish Status > Dismiss this record. That has sped things up a bit rather than having to open each request one by one. Support might have a solution or better work around.

    We also created a "Publish Status Completed" custom field flag to help us identify which request statuses had been published as we have several grant programs running simultaneously with various review stages. As we publish the status, we check this and "Save and dismiss this record."

    I'm hopeful a feature will be added soon to help track this activity.
