Pre-Posting reports in Web View,

Our organization submits pre-posting reports to our finance department throughout the month for review and correction before posting to GL. Will the option to run pre-posting reports be added to web view, as it is in database view? Please!?! It's a tremendously helpful tool for catching potential errors. If not, what's the workaround?

The reports in database view were combined into one report where we show the full details of the post including the exceptions. This report can be run before or after posting as needed as many times as you want.

  • Will you expand on that please, Anthony? Where do I find that report in NXT?

Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm only seeing options to "Generate Post" or "Unpost Gifts".

It's good to know the report can be run before or after posting as needed as many times as you want

  • Just tagging @Anthony Gallo so he sees this reply. Thanks!

  • Anthony, please expand on your comment (below). How do I run the report in NXT before posting?

  • Hi Lisa,

I see you never received a reply to this question. Did you receive an answer from another source?

I was looking for an answer for us as well on the subject, as we pre-post all batches and don't fully post because Finance uses a different CRM. This makes it easier to re-allocate a gift if I don't have to unpost.

  • The answer shown is the only one I received. I understanding that the ability to unpost gifts will be helpful, but as I've been testing this new system, I'm finding it more complicated and time consuming to go through the new unposting process than it was to pre-post, review/change/correct, then post. The ideal would be to have all the options — pre-posting, posting, unposting.

In addition, the new posting report format isn't giving me all I'd like. I'm NEEDING A REPORT THAT CAN BE SORTED BY BATCH NUMBER the way the old reports did. It would make things far more efficient for me.

If anyone knows something that I'm overlooking, I'd be grateful for any advice you can offer.

    Thanks for asking, Elizabeth!

    Lisa
