New Account Set Up is not "Sticking"

I tried to add a new account to our COAs yesterday, and today, when editing a batch, the new account # was not recognized by FE NXT.

These are the steps I followed: Settings>General Ledger > Account Codes > +Add
From there, I filled in the appropriate fields. This is for an Expense account if that matters. Then I hit Save.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

    However, when I did this 2nd step, it tells me the account number must be unique. This account number has not been used before.

  • So I was able to change the account code by 1 digit, in the second part of that set-up that you explained.

    Does that mean I have to go back to the first part of the set up
    (Settings>General Ledger > Account Codes > +Add), that I did yesterday, and +Add the new code number to make it "work" correctly going forward?

    When you view your account list, filter it to view all accounts, not just the active ones. You may have tried to set up an account string which already existed, but had been inactivated. You can either re-activate it and use it, or set up a different string with the same account code, depending on how your accounts are structured.
