New feature EMS Flexible Contract Due Dates - BEWARE!

We implemented this new feature and followed the instructions.

A watch out if you use it - all reminders are not activated unless you open each generated contract (yikes! 100+ contracts) and add the number of reminder days or to "use contract setting reminder options," The only way to send reminders without opening each contract is to do it manually by clicking the "send when activated."

Not good either way. This is not in the documentation for the new feature.

I asked Support why our reminders were not auto sending. It took 26 back-and-forths over several weeks to support to get to the bottom of this (thank you to Support for persisting). At the end, they explained the issue in the new feature, confirmed it was not documented, and referred me to a 6 year old idea in the idea bank. (https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OB-I-1716) I voted.

I sure wish someone from BB would own this issue and fix it ASAP in the new feature.

    It looks like this is not something that the new feature changed or caused.

    It does look like the new conditional date feature exacerbates a long-standing issue. We will continue to review this issue for ways to mitigate the problem.

    I will post any updates here.
