I am in the process of setting up grants in FE NXT and was trying to figure out a way to make it so that when a project code that is associated with a grant is used, it forces the user to enter a grant ID. But I have not been successful at this as of yet. Can anyone give me some tips on how they are doing this in the system? Or is it even possible. When I set the grants up I listed the project codes associated with each grant, but testing it with journal entries it is not requiring me to enter a grant ID when entering those project codes.

    HI Jeff,
    The project and transaction code don't have direct links to each other and can't be made to "link" one to another from a pure data entry standpoint. But the requirements in JE's or any other transaction, are set up at the Accounting Fund level. That will require certain settings defined on each fund and whether a project, t code etc are required at all or not, but from an account perspective. You can review those under Settings>GL Settings.

    There is no integration with FE and Grantmaking. This is not something that can be done. We use a transaction code to track, but it is very disappointing that the systems do not integrate.
