Stewardship task tracking

Our Stewardship team is wanting a way to track tasks for recognition, such as removal of signage or due dates for various tasks.

We had told them to use actions in RE NXT, but they seem reluctant and want a way to see 'the big picture' a month or so at a time. I thought perhaps a calendar could be connected with power automate from the actions in RE NXT, but I haven't investigated that yet - that's my next task.

I haven't seen any add-ins for RE NXT for this type of request, but I thought I would reach out in case others are using any third party solution or any power automate tricks?

I would love to hear how you are handling stewardship/recognition tasks at your organization.

  • My first thought was an adaptive card. You could probably build a card that would populate upcoming dates in a grid that looks enough like a caleandar. Here is some JSON as an example, though in all honesty I've never tried something like this and wouldn't know how to begin. :)

    But in my experience when users don't want to sift through NXT to find what they want, an adaptive card is the way to go. You can put it front and centre on the constituent record or even on the homepage. You would still have to track it somewhere in NXT (actions makes sense) but if all they want is an easy way to surface that information, a card would fit the bill.

  • I just realized that link isn't exactly what you're looking for — it's more of a reminder for upcoming events. With some tweaking it might work. Someting like this is maybe more relevant.
