Integrating Digital Membership Cards with Raiser's Edge NXT for Member Engagement

I’m currently working on extending Raiser's Edge NXT beyond traditional fundraising and donor management to improve member engagement.

The goal is to provide members with a mobile-accessible solution for event check-ins, benefits access, and identity verification. However, I’m running into a few challenges:

  1. Syncing member data in real time between the CRM and external system
  2. Managing secure access and authentication across platforms
  3. Handling updates like renewals or status changes automatically
  4. Ensuring smooth integration with existing workflows inside the CRM

Has anyone here explored similar implementations or integrated external systems with Raiser's Edge NXT for membership style use cases? I’d especially appreciate insights on APIs, automation workflows, or best practices around scalability and security for digital membership cards.

    Have not done this but think it's very possible.

    If I were to do this, it would be through RE NXT donor portal, let Blackbaud Donor Portal handle authentication and login. Create SKY Add-in that gives custom functionality and information through your application that calls on SKY API to get information about the constituent.
