BBDW to Microsoft Fabric connection issue

Hi all,

I’m trying to connect our BBDW to Microsoft Fabric, but running into this error:

“Logon failed for login 'XXXXX_RPT_BBDWreadonly' due to trigger execution.”

The same credentials work in SSMS and Power BI Desktop, but Fabric (direct, pipelines, gateway) gets blocked. We have also had the required IP addresses whitelisted, but the issue still persists.

Has anyone successfully connected BBDW to Fabric? Any guidance on how to get this enabled?

@Poojitha Bangalore Srinivasan , when setting up the connection, be sure to check "skip test connection" and also assign privacy level = Organizational. I suspect that the connection test is not encrypted and your RO and RWX databases reject unencrypted connection attempts. The actual connection should be encrypted by default, so there's no check box to force encryption.
