Can teachers grade assignments after the marking period ends?

Hi all,

Teachers are looking for the ability to grade assignments at the end of the semester without the students able to submit new work.

If we set a marking period to end on 5/18 but the grading period to end on 5/21, will teachers still be able to access and updated the gradebook between 5/18 and 5/21?

If this isn't the solution, what is the the way to embargo student access to submitting assignments while still giving teachers the ability to grade assignments at the end of the semester?

    Yes - teachers can record grades in the gradebook after a term ends. They may have to select the correct term from the menu at the top of the gradebook page. After the gradebook is in the correct term, it will work as usual.
