Sharing my Power Automate template: Tribute eAcknowledgements

- Description:

Tribute eCards are an often requested feature. At the time of writing, there hasn't been a date set for those to be included on the Raiser's Edge NXT roadmap. In the mean time, here is an option for Tribute eAcknowledgements that will send an email out to Tribute Acknowlegees. This utilizes the recently released Query API to gather the Gifts with Tributes and then cycles through each Tribute, sending an email to each acknowledgee that has a primary email address.

- Required connections: RENXT Gifts, RENXT Constituents, SKY Add-ins, and the email connector of your choice.
- Suggested skill level required to use this template: Intermediate
- Configuration details: Will need the email connector/action of your choosing. This uses the ‘Ad-hoc’ feature of the Query API, so you will not need to create your own query first.
- Category: Acknowledgement
- Instructions: Full details at https://github.com/glenhutson/BlackbaudCustomizations/tree/main/Raiser's-Edge-NXT/Tribute%20eAcknowledgements . In order to minimize issues with importing in various scenarios, the actual email action is not included in the flow. Once you import the flow, you will need to add an Outlook, Gmail, or other available email connector/action to send the emails.

  • Hi Glen,

    Thank you for sharing this!

Wondering if you are still using this as designed, or if you have found a newer method since Aug 2024? Also wondering if there is an update on including this as a native feature in NXT.

Would this flow fully automate the process and be able to send ecards instantly with the message from the donor? Does it process one batch of ecards at a set time of day, once per day, or would someone receive a card shortly after the donation is made? If a holiday is on a weekend for example, and people want to send ecards to celebrate in honour, is this something the flow handles? or is there still a manual component that would require a person to be online and involved.

    Thanks again,

    Christian
