Event Tickets

Our organization holds a gala every fall. We use the Event module in NXT to create the event and sell tickets. We offer a ticket that is payroll deduct for employees, so this has no fee associated when they register. We also offer a paid ticket that they purchase if they are not choosing to payroll deduct. We are wanting to find a solution that allows us to scan a QR code or send something digital to the attendee's phone to make check in the night of the event easier. We currently have volunteers that run registration and we just print out a spreadsheet of attendee names and have to search and mark them off the list. What options do we have to help with this process that won't cost a lot? I know there are options for add Ons that will do this and more, but we are not wanting to spend a lot of money as this is the only event for the year, we would utelize this.
